"BOSTON GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER, COMING INTO OUR HOUSE CHRISTMAS EVE...
YOU MAY SAY THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS PLAYOFFS, BUT AS FOR ME AND THE HURRICANES, WE BELIEVE!

Fun night at the arena and good to grab two points in the standings.
9-0-1 in the last ten at home.

Wrong thread? How much alcohol did you consume at the game? Hope you took Uber home.

You guys only won because surprisingly the % of Bruins fans in attendance was less than 50% tonight haha

LMAO.
I went looking for that post to edit it, and couldn't find it. O.o

One O'Douls at the game. Free for claiming Designated Driver. I'm too cheap to buy arena beer, even with a food credit as a STM.

Doubling down, I also misposted that on a friend's FB post where she showed her Christmas tree. That one I slipped in and redirected to the proper net.

They got quiet real quick....
We beat a good road team, in a Triangle that felt just the right size last night. 30 minutes from arena door to the comfort of my jammies.

Haha I always claim that I'm a designated driver at Hurricanes games (and then go get a beer afterwards) - I'm not paying for alcohol at PNC.

Btw, I've been to 7 Hurricanes games since moving to Raleigh - all of them have gone to OT

And, you have seen a bit of an increase in fan enthusiasm with the current streak!

Yep! May have been the most full I've seen a Hurricanes game in a while. I went to the Lightning game a few weeks back and there were a bunch of empty seats but the atmosphere was pretty cool last night (even though I was a Bruins fan haha)

This post makes me suspicious of your whole proclaimed backstory....

Nobody ever called this area "RDU area".... The Triangle derives from "research triangle" made by UNC, Duke, and NCSU....founded in 1789, 1830, and 1899 respectively....long pre-dating RTP or RDU.

I find it hard to believe someone who claims to be a Raleigh native in their 40's would claim "RDU area" is "the old local way" of referring to the Triangle.

Ironically enough it's usually the fresh transplants or people who've never lived here who call it "RDU" or "Raleigh-Durham".
