I was about hit there again on Sunday. It is crazy. They really need to just make that a no turn on red. They get an arrow already when Academy has green, so it would not be a big deal having to wait.
The problem around here with no turn on reds is they're so rare, that nobody ever notices the sign when there is one. Was sitting at 54 and Morrisville Pkwy the other day watching people take right on red over the railroad tracks, one after another.

I think that at least some people do notice them and yet decide to ignore them.

That's just outright stupidity. Especially considering how policed Morrisville Parkway can be in that area.
I used to live in that area. I could go on a page long rant about how dumb people are with regard to speeding through the school zones there.
An idiot almost hit a group of runners today, as we were crossing E. Chatham after the Tuesday night run at Bond Brothers in downtown Cary. Me and some runners were crossing the pedestrian strife when a car came out of nowhere and didn't want to slow down.
One of the things that has frustrated me the most since moving to NC is the complete lack of respect for pedestrians, bicycles,... etc on the roads. What does it cost someone to wait 5 or 10 seconds? I will never understand this and I wish the police would really crack down on this more often.
Wonder if you have to live in Cary? I know people from Cary sure don’t mind giving feedback to the town of Morrisville about anything and everything.
I’m sure they can, the survey asks how far you live and/or work from the park.
Seriously considering opening a Record store (used/new) / Venue / Coffee House in downtown Cary. What is stopping me is the auto and mechanic shops. Those need to go first.
