I couldn't have said it better. I have a hard time watching her, but agree that I think she's genuinely just being herself.

I met her once at a charity ride, and she does seem genuinely nice. I watch her for that reason, and I gt the impression she's pretty intelligent
note: some of these criticisms are about as harsh as those from the figure skating analysts!!

If you wanna talk about cringe ...it’s WRAL’s banter ...my gosh. You’d think none of them talk with each other ever once the cameras stop rolling. ABC11s folks really seem as if they at least tolerate each other — if not like and spend time with each other — off camera. Banter “chemistry” is something where it takes rapport between folks to pull it off successfully.

And yes Brittany has warmed up a bit. I took a while but it’s happening.

Yup. She’s good in my book.

Lucky you! And Oh, she hasn’t displayed anything on camera that would lead me to question her intellect.

*Case in point: John and Barbara this morning. They’re all (Don and Julie included ) talking about Valentine’s gifts ... the banter is so natural and not off putting. The laughter feels genuine. Legitimately has an “at the bar with a beer” feeling. So unscripted and natural and informal ... WRALs banter feels scripted... almost akin to pulling teeth.

Wasn't there some big stink over Miriam Thomas' departure from ABC11 back in 2001?

I actually don't mind Elizabeth Gardner to be honest.

This must be some sort of north east thing where if people aren’t scowling and mean you can’t relate.

I will never be friends with someone who doesn’t like Elizabeth Gardner

She’s like a real life kimmy Schmidt

If people say they don’t like Elizabeth Gardener, it really says more about them as a person.

Lol. I can't explain it...she's just awkward for me to watch. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's because she's just so different than the other WRAL crew. Same with Fishel who is awkward to me as well.
