There is only one, sizable tunnel in Raleigh designed for vehicular use...can you name its location? (construction, train)

Not sure. The president’s residence is on the other sdw of the tunnel, but there are other buildings, too.
Google maps only shows 1 building on the north side of Wade. It looks like it might some kind of "warehouse" building for Meredith's landscaping or maintenance departments, maybe?

That's a tunnel? I would consider that an underpass...not sure how it's any different than any other road that goes under a highway...it's harder much longer than roads that go under some RR trestles.
I hate tunnels (Holland, Lincoln, Midtown, Baltimore Harbor)... I always wonder if today's the day the terrorists win.
The President’s House is just northeast of that building. You can see it on Google Maps. It looks like a carve out in a sea of trees. It can also be accessed through a private drive at the end of Marilyn Street just north of Wade. There is also another Meredith house to the southeast of the big building mentioned. It is visible from Wade. The land and the homes there are owned by Meredith, and I believe the street is considered private.

Yep. Meredith’s campus is private, and that extends to the street and tunnel/underpass.

I'm not sure what the significance of that is, but in any event, Meredith's campus is open to the public isn't it? Meaning anyone can drive onto the campus and through this "tunnel"? And I agree with those saying neither this, nor Ligon Street, is a tunnel. They are both culverts that are used to carry a street under a roadway, essentially no different than a bridge or overpass.
Years ago, Meredith College offered equestrienne activity as one of the Physical Education classes for girls who brought their own horses to school. According to my wife (a Meredith alum), the program ended about 1980. The most obvious building in the aerial photo is the old horse stable. It's now used for storage of maintenance equipment and materials. The current house used by college president is the building in the trees off Ridge Road. When Wade Ave. was built behind Meredith (1970's ???), a "tunnel" was constructed to provide access from the main campus to the stables. I think it's a private road now, but I have driven through the main campus and to the president's house, coming out on Ridge Road via Marylin Street and Phyllis Drive. There were no barricades or gates, but very few are aware of the road and it gets very public use.
As far as the definition of a tunnel, I stated my case earlier.
There is usually a security officer at the gate who asks why you’re visiting, but the Meredith campus is largely open to the public. I’ve driven through that tunnel several years ago. I’d call it a tunnel for how it’s constructed.

Meaning they can ask you to leave and you’ll need to go. They also have security at the entrance. Not quite public, but the public is usually allowed in.

You do realize that by definition a culvert is a tunnel right?
