We are moving down to Apex from Long Island and renting a house in the Waterford Green Subdivision. What is the best value for phone, internet and cable tv? We can't put a dish on the house, so Direct TV and Dish network is out of the question.
I also want to establish a business line. Up here, we are paying $129 for 2 phone lines, internet and cable through Optimum. Are there any bundle packages like that in that area?

Can't they be mounted on a pole? FCC regulations tend to ban many restrictions on the use of satellite dishes in rental properties and elsewhere (e.g., restrictive covenants that purport to ban them).

I have my Directv dish mounted on a pole - it's not the "optimum" installation but they will do it if necessary (i.e. you aren't allowed to attach anything to the house because you are a renter). The OP would just need to figure out which direction the satellite is, to see where the pole would need to be located. Frankly, I'd give that a try before going with TWC.
I have seen this advertised on TV for Time Warner business class service. Time Warner Cable Business Class | Carolinas They were offering a special for phone and internet for businesses. Have no personal experience with them. Try giving them a call to see what deal they can offer you.
Time Warner for high-speed Internet and TV and the Magic Jack to supplement your cell phone. TW can be a little pricey but they offer the best broadband for renters and the Magic Jack only cost $20 to $30 a year for unlimited local and long distance.
It's sad but none of the local telephone carriers in the Raleigh area offer fiber-to-the-premises like Verizon does up north with their revolutionary Fios service.
I recently cut through my time warner cable line in my yard by accident while planting a shrub.
Time warner came out the next morning and spliced a new line to reconnect my cable to my house. They were back 5 days later to burry an entirely new line. They did a pretty good job and didn't have to disturb my lawn too badly to burry the new line.
Best part, it was my mistake .... but they fixed it for free.
Best value for cell phone: Tracfone Prepaid Wireless
Best value for TV: Satellite if you can get it, otherwise I guess TW
Best value for high speed Internet: I think RoadRunner is still the best overall value but I haven't done much searching for other service. DSL, IMHO, can be a bit dicey.
I did some further research into Time Warner and found that I can get all three services for $89.00 a month. Their package that they advertise is $124.95 but if you are willing to deal with a few less channels and a tad slower internet, you can make do.
They also offer a 3 month deal at $94.95 for the same features as the $124.95 package, but I don't know what they will charge you after the 3 months is over.
