The biggest mistake one can make in dating is to fail to listen! If a man says he is not intrested in a relationship - accept the statement. Don't assume he "doesn't really mean it", don't hold out hope that he may want a relationship with you later. Accept what he has said - he isn't intrested.
If you are looking for a relationship - keep looking. The man who isn't intrested, isn't for you.
It's a big ocean, catch another fish!!
Best wishes,

I agree with much of the previous posts and had a dating experience earlier in the year with a recently divorced guy who told me up front "not looking for a relationship." Due to the fact I have someone else in my life who is much younger, I, too, was not looking "for a relationship." However, I will tell you this, the younger one asked me what I was looking for within two weeks of our relationship (this was over two years ago)...and it did become exclusive within that time frame. We are still friends due to his honesty. In a nutshell, listen & learn, those that are "into you" will let you know immediately what their intentions are with you.

It's true. Men are very literal when it comes to whether they want you, or not. You can read between the lines, but really if he's not into it, don't waste your time or your breath as soon as he lets you know. Walk.
