This is beyond simple male to female ratios, because it means that 2-3 women will double up and share a high status male all while leaving you out in the cold.
I've noticed that in most social activities I participate in, there are more men than women. I've noticed that well when I went to several Christmas and Thanksgiving parties during the past few weeks, and at one party, for example, the ratio was about 60% male and 40% female.
However, I live in a relatively small town where 50% of the residents are college kids and the other 50% are retirees, so it's not super conducive for finding a mate
I'm just kind of over it... The 152 I fly has given me more pleasure than a relationship ever has
You pick her up for a date(not the other way around)
Yo go to dinner(you pick up the tab)
Go to the movies, amusement parks, etc(you buy the tickets)
You buy her gifts
All of that 'wooing' requires money.
So pretty much, it's the same as prostitution, but a much, much longer process of getting to the goal of booty, unless you are hot, then the process is much faster

For men, having more money will definitely help. For women, looking attractive to a guy will help as well.
i dont think its a turn off at all, in fact i think society is at fault for making women feel that they should be hitting on, making the first moves with men. So u'd rather have a woman who is interested in a guy never do anything about it rather than her risk some sort of dignity or social prestige by asking a guy out? I dont get it. I'm shy to a degree especially around new people and if a girl made a move i'd be flattered.
Maybe its just me but I find it damn near impossible to meet women as of late
It just seems as if nobody is available. All I see everywhere I go are couples, are there any attractive good looking women left?
I think the area plays a factor... Where I am, there are a lot of women that are available... In the valley, for me, it is as easy as getting out and going somewhere. However, there are a lot of couples here as well.
Small college town. Closish to two cities.
Lots of girls here are single...and hot. In fact, I almost forget that not hot girls are pretty common in the cities.
Perhaps a little young for some..most are from 18-23....but I'm not complaining.
