Why shouldn't I believe it when there's millions of cases like it? When women marry they are already thinking about the benefits of widowhood. It must be terrible news for them men's life expectancy has increased so much in Western countries. Having to wait until your 70s to get the money is hard.

That would be so much better than marriage it's unreal. I wouldn't benefit from being married at all. Perhaps, I could benefit from a such an arrangement like civil unions. Now I'm not very familiar with common law marriage but perhaps that's similar to civil unions. I don't know.

You either have no contact with any real women or you are just trying to be a jerk. I'm sorry but if you honestly think that all women only think about the benefits of widowhood when they get married - you either don't know any decent human beings or you are simply just trying to be a jerk. There's really no other viable explanation.

I'm hoping for the jerk option.

I'm a person in my own right, not an extension of my parents. I can see things with my own eyes and draw my own conclusions.

uh huh - spoken like a very young person. Does your age still end in "teen" by any chance? (this would explain a lot actually so I'm hoping you say "yes").

Edited to say...wait, I just remembered, you are the 35 year old virgin, right?

Yeah, everyone should definitely take marriage advice from you!

Do you have an indicator of a person's age taking their writing into account? That's cool.
