I'm not anorexic. I'm actually 4 ft 11 and have posted pics of myself on this board and plenty. I simply look petite because I'm small framed.

This thread is about physical youth, beauty and perkiness. That is what the original poster is referring to when referring to "prime" and when starting this thread.

This was the original post

"with the quarterlife crisis comes another for twenty five year old girls everywhere; fear of fading youth. though technically we have 5 more years of perky youthfulness on our side, it is hard to look sideways when the men we want to date seem to bypass us for the freshly blossomed 21 year olds joining the dating pool.
so what do you, smart nerdy men at city-data think of 25 year old girls? Are they past their prime? How at this point in their life should they be navigating the dating pool to capitalize most of whats left of their beauty and youth?"

The OP is not asking about a person's wisdom, mental state or any of the sort when aging. They are asking only about looks. If you want to talk about diversity and such that is another topic. This topic was about looks only according to the very first post.

I'm talking precisely about looks. I've posted several times (as have some others) about how some women don't come into their looks until later in life, and go through an ugly duckling phase in their 20's. Your own definition of "prime" didn't include "youth". It was about hotness. It wasn't me that posted about wisdom, mental state, etc. Address that to the appropriate poster.

Beauty doesn't always happen at 25, that's my point. There's a tremendous diversity as to when hormones come online, how/when they balance out, when the curves happen. etc. Some women have the body of a 12-year-old at 25, and don't get an adult (="hot") body until their 30's or even 40's. Some women's hair doesn't really fluff out and look great until later. Other women already look older than their years by mid-to-late 20's. It's impossible to generalize. If you think all women reach maximum hotness at 25, you're wrong. Some women do, that's all that can be said with any accuracy.

I meant to include youth in my definition as well.

I never said prime had to be 25 or 26. It may be different for everyone. However, it will NEVER be 40, 50 or 60 for anyone... People can peak later but not that late. If a woman thinks she is at her peak at 50 she needs glasses.

Who said anything about 50 or 60? You're really having to stretch now, to spread that negativity around.

This thread is about whether 25 is past "prime." I know quite a few 30/40 year olds who look much better now than they did in high school. Here are some "past their prime" 50+ women...
