I see. The two 45 year olds that I know I think would make an exception for me. It just seems like women in your age range are concerned about a younger guy's maturity and whether he just wants to use you for sex. That's certainly understandable. The two older women that I know are concerned about it but they've hinted that I would be the exception bc they know that I'm mature.
No, not really. I would just be concerned if I could tolerate them.
I don't mind it and yes I am approached a lot. Most think I am their age and I am flattered to be honest. I would rather be approached by a man considerably younger than considerably older.
Yes, especially when I was a gamer for 3 years. I had quite a few guys in their mid 20's hitting on me. The last "younger" guys to hit on me recently was a bank employee who looked no older than 25 and another guy who was 21.
Granted I don't look my age, and have dated a few younger guys in my time that were on average 10 years younger than me. As long as they were mature for their age, then everything was fine. There's a lot to be said for maturity, as I've seen 24 year olds who were more mature than some 40 year olds.
My current BF is younger, but only by 2 years and said he preferred older women, so I guess we both got lucky, even though we are pretty close in age.
that's the age of most the women regulars who post here. how often do you attract the attention of younger men, and do you feel flattered by it, or a little weirded out by it?
38, though most people think I'm 35, and never unless they're drunk. And since I don't drink, it's rare for me to be around those who are drunk.
When my husband divorced me at age 44 after a 24 year marriage I really didn't know what I was looking for in a relationship. I had a friend tell me that his buddy (27 yrs) wanted to go out with me. My first reaction was ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Never gonna happen!!........Well it did about three months later and we've been living and working together for the past 5 years now! Go figure!! We have TONS to talk about and more in common than I ever did with my Xhubb (who was my age). I'm not a cougar,,just a woman who fell in love with a younger man. Hell, men do it all the time!

I honestly think personal insight is a bigger factor than life experience in terms of deciding maturity. I.e. whether you learn from your mistakes or not.
Being able to carry on a less than shallow conversation is a major factor. Noted
What do women get out of the whole cougar arrangement, besides being with a guy that can keep up with their own libido? I wouldn't be opposed to dating an older woman, but I feel like I'd just be kicking the can down the road until one of us found a more age appropriate person to date. Who knows though? If I really connected with a woman 15 years my senior and she felt the same, I don't think I'd let those 15 years come between us.
