It's condescending, personally. I know what I look like and where I stand physically, it always seems that when compliments are given the guy just wants to butter you up to get you into bed. At least, that's been my experience.

Are you guys going to say these men did not find their wives beautiful?

Your a bit off base here. This is about telling some random girl you don't know that she's beautiful. Of course a devoted husband is going to tell his wife she's beautiful.
