I figure it was a dude that is absent minded and doesn't have a filter. That comment could be funny in a small percentage of circumstances, but he probably didn't think about the consequences of saying it on a first date. Dumbass.

Honestly, I'm surprised at how many of you are saying it was probably just his odd, unfiltered sense of humor. I have a GREAT sense of humor and I really value that in the men that I become involved with ... but to joke about murdering me when I have only known you a few hours and we are in a rather secluded park and it's getting dark ... I was supposed to have a sense of humor about THAT?

Funny, I can't even remember his last name any more. When I refer to him now (which isn't often), I just call him "Creepo Bob."
