I remember when I broke up with my husband, I cried a few days then stopped long enough to realize that it was so much nicer now that he was gone.

I am a straight guy, used to be fairly physically intimidating (too old now), bouncer in a bar, etc. My wife said people always noticed when I walked into the room, and very few people tended to oppose me.

I sometimes sit alone watching the sun go down, enjoying a cigar and a cognac, and nostalgic about old relationships, think about what went wrong or what I could have done better. I don't feel depressed or guilty, but I will cry. However, I don't let anyone see me, except my trusty Golden retriever, who comforts me, but is smart enough to keep a secret.

I'm sure there are plenty of guys crying right now on Wall Street. I have no sympathy for the bankers though.

Guys do one of several things:

1) Go to a bar and either a) pick up a girl for a one-night stand or b) get drunk and get in a fight
2) Play a lot of golf
3) If they're a musician, sit down and knock out some moody song about the unfairness of life and the indecipherable nature of women
4) **** and moan to their friends about what youknowwhats women are
5) If they're literate, they read a lot of nihilistic stuff
6) Sleep a lot, forget to shave, and develop a sudden urge to wear plaid shirts
