To expand on what Hivemind just said about this... I think when people suggest that, it's not a way of suggesting to make yourself more attractive to women or to be a better lover, it's a suggestion to help you get over a personal obstacle or milestone that's eating away at you. Like Hivemind said, if it's in your head that you are struggling with being a virgin, then the suggestion to go to an escort is one for you so you can stop that inner struggle.

If the OP's issue is being a virgin, then go to an escort and get past that mental hurdle.
If the OP's issue is his perception of how others view virgins, then he needs to knock that **** off and realize that it doesn't matter.
I would take the older virgin man for three main reasons:
1) I would find myself sexually compatible with him since I've only been with 1 man (I'm now 27) and that was my bf. The less partners a man have the better for me. I'm not interested in men wild pasts. It makes sense that people with a low past that never had casual sex want to find a partner with those same values.
2) He's less likely to be selfish or one of those hypocritical users that had been using prostitutes his whole life but when he wants to finally find a gf or potential wife, all of the sudden he demands that the woman have a low past and is into sloot shaming. I've read once somewhere online that the more promiscuous a man is, the more judgmental/narrow minded he'll be and suffer from Madonna/***** complex if a woman shared a similar past to them. Many of those types act like a woman should be treated good as long as he's the only one that gets to have her; basically a gf/wife is a like a possession to them....not a human being.
3) At least if I were in the relationship with the virgin man, he would be interested in wanting to learn more and focus on how to please me. I'm not too much of a sex expert but I guess with my little experience, I would be able to mold him into what I want him to be.
So no, a man that uses escorts or slept around in the past (his number of partners mainly consisting in casual sex, threesomes or fwb's )to me isn't attractive at all.
What's the difference between a virgin and a guy who has all of his sexual experience with escorts? Nothing really. While technically the guy who has seen an escort isn't a virgin, he has no clue on what we are talking here. As an adult, the whole sexual experience is much more than any client-escort could have. It's different when a person has an emotional connection, along with a physical connection. The possibilities for something special are much higher than one where only a physical attraction is concerned. And with an escort, that physical attraction is one sided remember, she is compensating your looks/lack of personality, for the money. Nothing learned with that transaction, other than building more bitterness because you have to pay for it.
When you are on the clock the main concern is getting yours.....while some may claim they are there to please the escort, I'm sure the expression she has involves rolling her eyes. While this can be the case even for many men who don't have experience with escorts, it's more likely to happen when a guy does.

I've noticed in the search function that there are some others who have posted threads about being virgins as adults as well, this is well into the past of course. One thing I've noticed is that there is always some people, not everyone, who suggests getting an escort. I've always been surprised by this advice since I always figured men who paid for sex disgusted women. So I guess I'd ask all you women out there, would you rather date a guy who has used escorts than an adult virgin? I know you'll probably say you would date neither. In a perfect world neither would exist but in general do you find virgins weirder or more unappealing than a man who uses escorts?

2. The only thing "weird" about you (that we can gather from all your threads) is that you are obsessed with the topic of sex.
3. Quit spinning your wheels here and wasting your energy with all these useless threads.
4. Get yourself to a bookstore and start doing something to really further your education on the subject of sex and self-esteem by reading quality research and advice.
5. Consider hiring a life coach. It would be a wise investment.

So even though this is addressed to women, I will give my perspective as well as some of the feedback I've received from gal pals and past girlfriends.
By choice, I am a virgin. Very rarely does it become relevant or get brought up until I am deep into a relationship and she decides to inquire about my sexual history. Some women like the v-card, and others don't want to deal with the implications of it. The vast majority of women I've talked to do not find it relevant. This is the feedback I've received from the ladies without most of them knowing my status. I believe a big part of it deals with the nature of your relationship with that person. I've never been in a serious relationship with anyone where they admitted to me that they were turned off by the fact that I was a virgin. But again, usually we got to know and respect each other well enough where it would not be an issue.
I must admit that I am slightly taken aback though that being a virgin could be compared to someone who uses escorts... lol
I voted Yes simply because the number of older virgin men on this forum has me convinced that they're all weirdos with huge issues. So I'd rather take a guy who has to buy sex because at least he knows his limitations and wants to experience some semblance of a relationship with a woman, albeit paid for.
I've been following the virgin guys who post on the escort threads. They strike me as being scared of women - apologizing for the very idea of sleeping with escorts. "I respekt wimmin" and all that nonsense. Women don't like that crap. Until ya'll realize that you're the boss, you're never going to get laid. Stop begging for forgiveness for imagined crimes. Grow a pair. If you want to sleep with a prostitute then do it. If someone is offended by it then that's their problem.
If you would not turn on the neon sign that says "I'm a virgin do you respect me" no one would know that you are a virgin.
At the time time if you would not turn on the neon sign that says "I lost my virginity to a prostitute (which by the way is sex), no one would know that either.
