Long story short, I had a real thing for a 36-yo attractive women living in my complex who has never been married but has managed to sneak in 4 or 5 cats into her apartment. Anyway, in her fb postings she's always b*tching about how lonely she is and how she wants to cry every-time she ovulates. The weird part is that she is actually quite attractive and takes good care of herself.

Now when we've seen each-other we've always managed to hit it off well and I've always been fairly open in my flirting that she seems to respond to fairly well. I texted her over the phone today asking if I could take her out, but never got anything back. Not a simple no thank you or nothing.

I suppose in the long run it makes for a good story, getting rejected by some single cat lady.

You didn't get rejected, you got ignored. If you see her in person, why didn't you ask her in person?

Well...so...she doesn't like you...her having cats doesn't mean she should have liked you more, LOL. As for the whole "I'm desperate" thing, as you said, if she's attractive overall, she could have a dude and babies now...she's probably not ready yet. So she says all the right stuff to get friends off her back on FB about "when are you getting married?"

That's just a hunch, I mean I don't know this lady.

Cats or no cats, ovulation or no ovulation, she has the right to date guys she's into just as you have the right to date women you're into.

Isn't being ignored the same as being rejected?

You are either not smart trying to go out with a b*tching whiner or your description it isn't true. Sounds like you are just bitter because you got rejected.

Also, you texted TODAY. The day is not over yet and you are already b*tching and whining. Wait ... you two sound like you make a pretty good couple

Not to me. Maybe it is to you. Maybe she didn't know who it was from, or didn't notice it. Happens to me, I see messages on my phone days or even longer later, and I'm sure I miss some.

I guess it doesn't change anything though, you're not going out.

No worries, cats carry toxoplasmosis which causes brain damage. While "healthy adults" are supposed to work up immunity, new research shows that there's still brain damage occurring.

Cat people are, in every sense, brain damaged.

So, go buy a lotto ticket... see if your good fortune holds.

The universe has ways of thumping us on the ear when we get too full of ourselves.

Your post reads like you thought you were throwing a bone to someone who was "lesser than" you. Hopefully you didn't REALLY intend it that way.
