Op said 4 or 5 cats, so she was probably just getting started. I’d bet with the age of the thread she is at 20 cats now.

Oops, confused the thread. Working OT and dealing with cats is not recommended.

She texted him back that she was not interested in going out with him but would he be available to cat-sit sometime.

OP, you have an excellent opportunity now to clear up some emotional resistances you are carrying around. Instead of projecting your negative feelings onto the woman who didn't respond, and subtly trying to tear her down, go into how you really feel.

Did this situation trigger feelings of insecurity? Are you fearing you've been rejected and this is painful for you? Are there feelings of unworthiness? Are there feelings of anger over being ignored? Is there feelings of loneliness? Frustration? Shame over having done something that makes you vulnerable? (You can be honest with yourself because nobody else can know what you're thinking unless you tell them.)

It's not about her. It's all about you, and this is a really good thing! If it were really ever about another person, we'd all be screwed as far as personal power goes.

Ha....Well, you don't think she became a cat lady in the first place by being emotionally available to dating humans, do you?
