My niece is 21. Sometimes I am at awe what mature words come out of her mouth. And before I can answer, she follows up with something super stupid and I almost drop dead.

So, I cannot imagine that a 50 year old man can take a 20 year old girl seriously.

I'm just trying to imagine going out to dinner and telling the server my date isn't old enough to drink.

Indeed. I can't take someone who is younger than me by 10+ years seriously, I dunno how someone could actually live with/deal with someone on a daily basis, when that someone wasn't even born when the guy was graduating from college.

As a 52 year old guy myself, I'm jealous as hell.

Ironically, I can see this point of view also.

I'm still jealous though.

Luckily, as the OP said, they are just "casually seeing each other." Not dating, not living together and possibly not even intimate with each other. But who cares if they are? Why would you?

When I was a kid, I was crazy for Axl Rose.

A few years ago, Guns n Roses performed nearby. That would have been my childhood dream! I got tickets and then broke up with my bf at the time. I asked my two tenants if they want to go with me. Free tickets - SURE. They were both mid 20s.

So we drove there, I was totally excited to see the band. On the way there, they said "So who is Guns n Roses, what kind of music do they play?"

What's there to hate? An old man who is trying to relive his youth by taking advantage of a dumb girl?

Jealous for what? Would you feel the same way if this were your little girl dating the old man?

You are pretty much profiling the older man as the stereotypical dirty old man and the young woman as the naive innocent girl.

This may be accurate, but just as possible it can be way off.

How do you know it isn't the other way around? The old man is a bit desperate and is being used by the younger conniving young woman?

She is 20, not 18. So unless there is something wrong with her, she should have enough awareness at that age to know what relationships she should get into.

I'm guessing they BOTH are using the relationship to their advantage. A temporary tryst during these lonely trying times.
