I know this is a personal choice but I would like to know when people took off their wedding ring and why.

Thanks!

I took mine off a month and a half prior due to the unspeakable. I think I remember him still having his on three months later. After the third time of him asking me if I was sure about it and my answer still being yes I think he took it off.

I took mine off right after because it was too painful to look at. It is never an easy choice to make.

I took mine off when my daughter was born. I gained too much weight to wear it

I should have known my husband was planning on leaving because he took his off about 6 months before he left.

In my first marriage we both took our rings off when we knew it was over. No reason to wear them anymore.

My marriage and life now is so entirely opposite. I absolutely love my ring but I don't wear it most days because we do a lot of physical work.

I really don't remember. We were separated for 5 years. And we actually still stayed "involved" for a year or so after we separated. (Dumb...yes.)

I guess it was sometime after that first year.

Only when we were physically separated. Our problem was that we had a hard time letting THAT part go!!
