When a woman reads a romantic novel she is reading the romantic ending she knows damn well she won't get from her man. Are men looking for a romantic ending from a porno flick? awww, if so your ideal of romance is off kilter, so that would mean the OP's question is wrong!
What I wrote the other day was COMPLETELY one-sided, but I was mainly trying to make a point here. All of my past posts with regards to porn are documented here. I have a bigger problem with the way some on this site are quick to deamonize a behavior SOLELY because they find it revolting. I get (and respect) that this may not be your cup of tea, but just as some of your relationships survived without porn/romance novels, other relationships survived with these things. To make a judgement call EITHER WAY on someone no one here really knows is not fair. The thread with the husband caught looking at porn I get that a lot of women (and some men) don't like porn, and I can respect that. Your opinions are all cool till you say divorce the guy. Equally I also get that other people (including myself) don't see a problem with porn, but then to say "lighten up" , or "don't knock it till you've tried it to someone who dosen't feel the same way does not make for a positive debate either. What I don't like are the broad strokes that are painted for those who defend porn (equated with being perverted, or if you like porn you're automatically an addict type statements). These broad strokes are also gender specific in that they are usually aimed at men. This is why I wrote my earlier post. A sort of give some of you what you want to hear (or may) be thinking anyway.

It's titillation, fluff, putting forth a fantasy for a lover that you don't get or don't see already. Not sure what your definition is, but seems like the same thing to me.
Just because your not using something D celled behind it when your reading it, doesn't make it any less a titillating fantasy. A large percentage of the time I'd say the average guy isn't "exorcising" the fantasy while viewing porn either.
With lines like "caressing her ivory bosom while feeling his swelling manhood" and the like, your trying to tell me that your reading it because you solely skip to the end for the 'I love you bit' over candlelight asking to take her to Madagascar to elope? If so, there are bridges I should be selling people.

You deny comments and subject matters you clearly discussed yesterday and you play dumb on points being made; all in a futile exercise of playing the victim and living in denial.
So naturally it's no surprise you ignore all of the significant points several people (and I) have made and the only thing you can muster up is some adolecent snips and rubber/glue comebacks.
A closed mind is a terrible thing. And yours my dear, has several hundred padlocks.
Nope. You just twist what I say. Have at it.
Um, the rubber and glue comment wasn't mine You might try reading.
