Yes because these two items reflect the different ways men and women view relationships. For men their relationship motivation is/begins sexually, for women their relationship motivation is/begins with romance.
Have you seen the I caught my husband looking at porn thread? Apparently women think of porn as the same level as cheating and are willing to get a divorce. Men aren't that stupid to take things so far if they catch a chick reading a romance novel.
No the stick-up-their-butts equate porn with cheating. The normal women without mental health issues are okay with their husbands watching porn.
This one is easy. Since most romance novels are read by women, and they don't think of men as sex objects, and they NEVER let what they read either influence, or cloud their expectations romance novels (for women) are ok. Since most porn is viewed by men, they are incapable of thinking of women as anything but sex objects, and this behavior is almost ALWAYS addictive in nature and destructive to any relationship, porn then is automatically a bad thing (unless it is viewed by women who can better dicipline themselves).
I'm female and I don't read romance novels, I'd rather watch porn. Which is kind of strange since, in general, I prefer reading to watching TV or movies.
Maybe. But for me after watching porn I feel dirty and like I'm going to hell. After reading one of my boook I look for my husband. I agree on the mental masturbation ! Also no one can hear my thoughs!!
