the driving force of the problem, all male needs are perceived as inappopriate and unnecessary.
the new world order assigned role, male function -- to bear obligations ---not needs.
saw a woman wearing a T shirt the other day it said
men are wonderful --everyone should own one.
Lots of great points of view! I knew some women liked porn, but I must admit I'm surprised the number is as high as the respondees to this thread indicate.
cutting him off and then watching his pathetic attempts to deal with his unmet needs puts the gal in the drivers seat, 24/7 a nice place to be. take back your power guys, see the lawyer b4 the marriage not after.
Yes, guys, a lawyer will tell you you cannot contractually obligate someone to have sex.
Both porn and romance novels appeal to something at the gut level or below. Both carry social opprobrium, which is why women will deny up and down that they read romance novels, even though they are the best-selling kind of literature in this country, and men will not advertise that they look at porn, even though the size of the industry (ahem) is a pretty good indicator of how many patronize it. Both genres present images of partners that are idealized in some way. And both are mostly harmless. Some people can distinguish between fantasy and reality, and some can't. It's as simple as that.
Well, they say that men use porn and women fantasize. Personally, I fantasize more than turning to porn, does that make me ....feminine? Lol, seriously though, for me fantasies can make things fun, if you and your SO can talk about them and use them to your advantage. Many fantasies are better left in that realm. In my experience, making a certain fantasy come true can backfire . Having is not nearly so pleasant a thing as wanting sometimes. I really don't think that there is a disproportionate number of men vs women that use porn in one capacity or another ( I have known plenty of females that liked porn...more than me) but romance novels are certainly read more by women than men. At least overtly. Fantasy is certainly more fun than porn. One can imagine quite a bit, thus, no limits as to what the fantasy can entail, but, as I said before, turning fantasy into reality is not always a good thing. My first marrige ended because my wife pursued a fantasy. Turned into a right mess it did.
I have no interest in romance novels. Nothing wrong with them, they're just not my style. I'm not against porn. I don't live off of it and I don't watch it out of need or because I am or my partner is lacking. Romance can be had anytime, with or without novels or porn.
