Seems like a lot of the disagreements re: tats, break down along "cultural" lines, with the "luv em" crowd mostly being of the "redneck", "southern", "Scots-Irish", "hillbilly", "Oakie", etc. "ancestry".
Although just personally, am not attracted to black-and-blue marks on female skin (regardless how they got there).
Personally, I dont hate anyone. I know many women with tats and I genuinely like them. But I think the tats are ugly, take away from their appearance, and give many people mixed messages and the wrong impression.

Dunno about anyone else, but I don't care for gals with lots of obvious cosmetic surgery either, yet I wouldn't call it "hatred" (although some of it is kinda "disturbing")!
I've never actually met a woman who's had cosmetic surgery, unless it were mole removal or scar treatment or something similar. It's a regional/cultural thing, but I've never lived in the land of silicone and nose jobs and lipo or even of botox injections. Boob jobs and the like are not commonplace where I am. People tend to work with what they've got, except in cases where there's some sort of disfigurement.

You're probably right that it is relatively regional and "cultural" (not unlike appreciation for tats). But for example try living in S. Florida, where I personally know folks who've given "boob jobs" to their teenage daughters as a xmas present (to boost their "self esteem"), the way some parents elsewhere might give their kid a car! And don't get me started on how many "face lifts", "tummy tucks" and "nose jobs" with the Moms!
BTW, maybe that's all tats are, is basically just the poor man's version of "cosmetic surgery"!

If you look like any of these gals, I'm sure even the "non-tat" guys here would make an "exception"...!
