Of course! I know his personal (friend) email address, work related email address & his specifically for shopping email address. I know all the passwords. Though I try not to look at the shopping one, because if he buys me something as a surprise or sends flowers that ruins the surprise. He knows all of mine as well, which is only 1 email, and then we have a united one as well.
I doubt he has ever looked at mine, sometimes he asks me to look at his if he is looking for an email. We are open so we have nothing to hide from each other. Oddly though, we do not open each others mail, though he has told me multiple times he wouldn't care if I did.
Yes we do and the only person that would want to know this, is someone who is not SHARING. Perhaps someone has a CHEATING MIND. Or is watching Porn, or met a new someone ONLINE. Nothing to hide, everything to gain, when telling the truth!
We not only know each other's passwords, but we sit side by side and could easily look over and read what's on the screen. However, we respect each others' right to privacy and choose not to check up on the other. Knowing and being open doesn't mean sticking our noses in. So, because we can, doesn't mean we do. Now and then one or the other of us will share an e-mail, received or written, with the other because the information is important for both of us to know.
There are no secrets between us - our friends know that what they share with me, is told in confidence to BOTH of us. That way, they get the benefit of the our collective wisdom as well as two separate points of view - which often are the same but different reasons leading to the same advice.
I have nothing to hide and my wife has access to my personal e-mail, not my business e-mail. Strange though, I do not have access to hers . She uses my e-mail to send photos to friends in England, not quite sure why she cant use her own. I do find it mildly disturbing that some nights I get home from work and she says "You have a few new e-mails". She always says whats mine is mine and whats yours is mine, go figure....
