MM is one of the rare breed, but I doubt you'll hear from him on it.

Not really his thing.

My cutoff is a guy younger than my favorite sweatshirt. I've had it for 23 years. Though the youngest I would prefer is 30. I'm in my 40's -- it's cougar time!

I'm a pretty good distance from 50's and I wouldn't date a woman too much younger than me.

I don't think it is that rare, really, maybe I'm just naive though.

I'm 40 and wouldn't go below early 30's, not a strict rule, just in general.

I'm not saying a young 24 yr old doesn't look good, just wouldn't want anything long term, ya know what I mean.

Hi Chowhound,

There is something hideously wrong with a 24 year old woman having anything to do with a 41 year old like me. Its a preposterous and unsettling notion to have a sexy nubile looking lustfully in my direction.

Now that I have cleared my conscience, may I place my order now and when may I expect to receive her?

Men are not going to decline such a thing all things being equal. There is a consideration of maintenance which may not appeal to many men. It also assumes that bad personalities age well. A woman I have met while she was young and aged with is not the simple commodity. Then she has my loyalty.

There is a word to describe a 50-something single man who is in good enough shape to "pull" 20 and 30-something ladies, yet rebuffs their advances: Gay (not that there is anything wrong with that)...

You are not helping with the suggestion of something taboo. All I ask is for one to describe a scenario that does directly message the pleasure centers of my twisted mind. Why not just swear a chaste loyalty to god while showing me a tan line in a mini-skirt? Be gone, shoo....

I'm in my mid 40s and married. If I were to end up single I could not see myself with a much younger gal (i.e. in her 20's). A short sexual fling? Sure, you bet. I certainly still find young women physically attractive. But not a younger women for a substantive, enduring relationship. As I have gotten older I have developed an attraction for older women. I find that they often project a certain confidence and wisdom, a "been there, done that" aura of savvy and prowess. Older women can also be very suave flirts. That maturity is a turn on.

Indeed, one of the the interesting things about becoming older is that the pool of women I find attractive has expanded over time. Whereas before I would have never given a gal in her 40's a second look, now I do (while still giving the young hotties a second look, too )

Thank you for proving my point for the umpteenth time! That babble (even if we leave the fertility-and-reproduction obsession aside) is not about to attract anybody, much less a 24-year-old, even if you look like Adonis!
