Hitler used religion as a convenience when it suited his purposes, just like he did everything else. I don't think it had much effect other than an annoyance on him. He was the supreme opportunist.

Yes, that would be funny if not so sad. I can't tell you how many arguments I've been in with ignorant people who still think the Nazi's were Left Wing. They weren't. They were the Conservative Right Wing of Germany. And very religious.

If they were Leftists, I doubt they would have been fighting the Communists!!

As far as Stalin, he actually attended a seminary at one point in his life. But I believe he later rejected those beliefs in favor of who he saw as the true God-figure in his life: himself.
