Not at all. I hope your family doesn't act that way towards one another.

Hebrews 9:22. There is no greater symbol of life than blood, it keeps up alive, Jesus shed His blood, gave His life for our sins so that we wouldn't have to experience spiritual death and eternal separation from God. Jesus gave His life to pay our penalty so we might live.
I think an all-knowing, all-powerful deity could come up with a better plan. Heck, even I could. And I'm just an average guy. All this bloodshed isn't in the name of love.

Forgiveness of sin does require the shedding of blood, read Hebrews 9:22. I would probably have come up with a different plan too, but thankfully God is in control and I trust His ways more.

Shedding of blood huh? Yup, there sure is a lot of that in the old bible, but then it was written when people were still doing the old human sacrifice thing...It is now 2009 and hasn't there been enough blood shed in the names of various gods throughout history...I guess not.

if jesus is God then who is the father in this verse ?

You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father,
for the Father is greater than I. John 14:28

On earth God the Son, Jesus willingly submits to God the Father, but they are the same, it's call the Trinity.

Jesus to Christians is our Savior. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is God. I guess it depends on if you believe the Bible or not. John 1:18 "No one has ever seen God, but His only Son, WHO IS HIMSELF GOD, is near to the Father's heart, He has told us about Him".
In Jesus, God revealed His character and nature in a way that could be seen and touched.
