This was his plan. He controls everything. He wanted that plane to crash for some reason. That's just a fact.[/quote]
While I don't agree He wanted it to happen, I agree He is in control of everything, and He allowed it to happen. And knew it was going to happen before it did.
I don't believe he's [god] a non-interventionist. This was his plan. He controls everything. He wanted that plane to crash for some reason. That's just a fact.
So then what is the point of petition prayer, as in prayer that asks for favors? I mean, if god has a plan, than what is the point of asking him to change his mind about those plans?

Prayer is about more than just giving him a grocery list of things we need want. Prayer develops the relationship and helps us to know him. I don't pretend to know how it all works--but only that he commands us to take our needs to him.

Funny how people seem to focus on only one sentence of my post.
Anyway...would you rather have a God that is not in control and just hopes for the best like you and me? Or one that knows what's going to happen, and is sovereign over it? Isn't "allowing it" the same as being sovereign over it? He very well could have stopped it. But he didn't. That means he wanted it to happen for some reason.
I'm not suggesting that he's some sort of a genie up in heaven shooting lightning bolts and cackling at people who suffer...but he is in control of everything--and for some reason he wanted it to happen. Life isn't always fair according to how we see it.
'Among the New Jersey victims Donald and Dawn Mossop and their son Shawn, 12, along with Dawn Mossop's sister, Ferris Reid. All lived in Bloomfield and were members of a Jehovah's Witnesses church in Montclair, according to two church elders.'
Could this be the reason God 'wanted it to happen'?

I am sure some will say that one or more could be among the 144,000 that they keep a record of by watching and counting how many take communion once a year
I'm not in agreement with any of the things you listed.
We farm organically
Make biodiesel
And don't tell Uncle but i never even registered for the selective service, let alone fought in a frivolous war.
godspeed,
freedom
I applaud you, but you know you are not representative just like a well educated liberal who volunteers for war is not representative. A vast majority of people who pound the pavement for government intervention in reproduction are not organic farmers. They do not make biodiesel.
So, bring your brothers and sisters along with you and we'll have a shot at building a truly pro-life society on all fronts.
But he created intellegent people who created these flying contraptions. Unfortunatly some of the
Airline owners were too cheap to buy properly working planes for the conditions that they were to operate in. So this cheap plane could not make it to the run-way despite the best efforts of the pilots and crew.
Sometimes God does supernaturally interviene. Why he didn't is unclear for this perticular accident. But remember the scripture, absent from the body present with the Lord. So, God has all those who have died with him. And with God there is peace. It is written "He shall wipe away all their tears". Wont that be great when all our tears are finally wiped away and we can spend eternity with Him.

I believe God is sovereign. He is in control. He had the ability to stop it, but he didn't. What does that say to you?
