So much negativity and you people want to judge Pat Robertson. Have you ever heard of Sodom and Gamora, they were destroyed in Gods judgement, men, women, and children. I know the bible says it rains on the righteous and unrighteous alike but if a nation is unrighteous as a whole even the innocent suffer. Leave the man alone and focus on the word of God.

If this is some of your Gods handy work, then I would have to say he is sick, horror loving, hateful and evil.

What did all those innocent children( not to mention all the others in general) do to deserve this. People who think that way are sick.

Our free will determines our outcome. Our choices, not God, determines what the next step in our journey will be. Whole nations are not judged by God but the individual is. Maybe negative energy had a part but it wasn't God as He is not negative. It would then be mans doing.
I don't disagree with you on this, i'm just adding the point that God also allowed, created, etc... the mechanisms of pain and suffering. They are a blessing, how else are we to determine when we are so off course that we don't know right from wrong?

If you read what i write in context, i say no such thing. His system is automatic.

Sin brings pain and suffering.

Righteousness bring life and joy.

If there was a hell, I can think of a lot of people () that should be paying a visit to it.

Continue reading that post. The things I am reading here about them possibly deserving this horror is just mindnumbing.

No, that is why I said should there be one.

What is really striking and shocking to me is how so many people here simply believe what is written in the Bible. It reminds me of Muslims believing in the Koran the same way. I hope those Christians won't turn the US into the Christian equivalent of Iran etc.

In a roundabout way, what you are really saying is "I agree with Pat Robertson's statement." I actually understand why you guys do because I once held such a back and white world view of demons and angels, sin and righteousness and all those other cute things in order to make sense of a world I did not understand or wanted to understand through plain old, observable, sometimes simple explanations. It sounded so much better to say that some deity was controlling everything and that those who did not grovel at his feet telling him how worthy he was, such people would be meet with judgement. Of course lost in ALL of this is that a huge portion of the Haitian population are actually Christians. Of course they are NOT true Christians in some other Christian's book.

Robin, I implore you, just try to gain a little perspective please.

Thanks.
