My internet access is restricted because the person to whom I pay rent did something bad which caused his internet access to be restricted and monitored, so my internet access is similarly limited and monitored, which precludes online sale of my items from this location.
Perfect! Now you have an excuse, so long as we pretend there is no free internet available anywhere in Portland. Yay!!
I have neither a car nor a license to drive. Not sure how I'd lug cleaning supplies around the metro area. This type of work is commonly done by janitorial and maid services which hire people with vehicles to service multiple locations in a single day or evening. Without a car I'd never be able to get from A to B in time to do two cleaning jobs, let alone more than two.
Walk to each of the houses or apartments where you live. Inquire as to whether the occupant needs house cleaning, pet sitting, plant watering, lawn maintenance. See what the response is. I'll bet you could get 10 things within walking distance. Make handmade fliers and deposit them door to door within 3-5 miles. You will get work if you want it. But only if you want it.
Start with your landlord. Offer to clean the entire house and paint the entire house and redo all the landscaping for $5/hour. Save up all those $5 bills until you can afford more and better landscaping and cleaning and painting equipment. Expand from there. Start at the bottom and work your way up. If the landlord won't spring, tell him to ask his friends and relatives. Then offer the same deal to everyone you know. They will probably offer you more, but if not work for $5/hour to get started.
OP, here's my take on it. To all these posters who are slamming you at every turn here on this thread, ''There but for the grace of God go I.'' In other words, one day their hateful comments will come back to bite them in their self-righteous butts. One can only hope.

Nope. A hundred times nope.
You knew back in May in these forums that a smart phone was an easy solution to your internet access issues. Take pictures with it, use free wifi from anywhere, etc. yet here you are almost to November still claiming it as a crutch. You post about how it is a big project and you are worried about getting ripped off despite the fact you can get a free smart phone from your existing provider for $5 more a month.
You don't want to succeed, you want pity. NOTHING precludes you selling your stuff except you, and I think you know it.

There is absolutely nothing self-righteous about pointing out the obvious to someone who makes decision after decision, against any and all advice, to take no action to solve their problems.

We see this now. If one observes reality, one is "hateful". If one points out a character flaw, one is hateful. Well, guess what? Evasion of reality has caused the mess we're in as a society and as a world. SO MAYBE WE NEED A LITTLE MORE HATE!

I often saw people on the bus carrying janitorial supplies. So that's another option for getting to that job.

No hate, just frustration with someone who has posted on forum after forum and has had people care enough to try to help him only to be met with excuse after excuse. You should check these out before you judge people in such a self righteous manner.
