As has been discussed here before people cumulatively can give away enough clues that when put together and do assist full time identity thieves.

In another thread on SS check dates you answered by providing the schedule of Wednesdays and how it was determined which was yours. Another poster responded directly to your post and identified their birth date and year. They participated in their local forum and it was easy to identify the area they lived in and specific habits, likes and places they visited. They were giving enough information about themselves and if they were on Facebook and belonged to groups a pro would be well on their way with available software to identifying them.
