You know, I just looked up some posts by Brenda-by-the-sea. I like the sound of her name.
She posted some very thoughtful, wise, and intelligent posts. It looks like she was last active in 2011.
Makes you wonder....
I'm very sorry for the loss of loved ones.
Aging is what happens when you do it right, or at least survive accidents and disease. I'm thankful for every day and am greatly enjoying the ride. I might retire in 4yrs if I make it! I love work, though.
I belonged to a horse forum that lost several members and it's truly loss. I've met many of them in person. Sad.
Do you remember CCc girl? She was very active and I think they were planning a move, maybe to FL. She hasn't been around for over two years and she was a regular poster. I sometimes wonder what happened to her.

Yes, I do remember CCc girl. I learned so much from her. She sent me some PMs directed to something I was struggling with and I felt I was so fortunate to learn from her wisdom. I know she had some health problems and believe she had a problem with alcohol. I am probably wrong but I think her next step was to enter a rehab type of place. Whether she made it there or not I do not know.
Buzz123 mostly in the Las Vegas Forum. He worked for the unemployment department and helped people with great advice. I believe he frequented the unemployment forum as well.

I knew she had some health issues but didn't think they were that bad. Had no idea about the alcohol problem though. I hope she is okay and doing well wherever she is.
Agree 60.5 here and ready to retire but in past year I have had two friends in their upper 60s come down with terminal situations it does make you think about your ticking clock.
I'm sorry to hear that.
In years past, when DH was down or agonizing about some inconsequential matter, I'd say, "Look on the bright side. At least no one we know has cancer."
It's a good thing all of the people who have passed away so far have been really good - exceptional even - people. What about all of the average and miserable people who will pass away? I wonder what will be said about them
Just musing.
I've seen a number of people go in the more than 10 years I've been here, and I've never seen that to be the case.
City-Data is not omniscient, and thus not aware of the death of every forum member.
In those instances where family members or forum members have started a thread about a forum member's death, there has always been acknowledgement.
Yeah if I die I doubt my wife will bother to notify anyone on my message boards. So if I disappear you know what happened. Or maybe I just found a better crowd to hang with.
