What about Just Curious I believe was her Username. She sounded very much like some of the posters that currently post on the Retirement forum. Sometimes I wonder if she has changed her name and still posts.

Thanks, Brightdoglover! Good to hear. I did enjoy reading his posts and thought it odd that he just stopped posting one day.

I'm generally not someone who restarts old threads,
but this post was amazing... so simple,
yet easily the most touching thing I've ever seen on C-D.

So there won't be any remission for me and it looks like the cancer will get me after all.

Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts. I can still use more of them too.

Please don't forget me.

Jazzlover really understood the ins and outs of living in Colorado, his posts were most informative. I learned so much from him and really miss his posts. So glad to hear he is doing well.

This has been quite a very depressing read as a number of folks mentioned I remember well, so saddened by the news of their passing. Think I may have to stay away from reading these types of threads, just too heartbreaking.

I remember the shocking day the first time I read of a fellow poster's passing. She was someone I communicated with often online, but only as posters in a true crime forum. Her passing was reported to the forum by another poster who knew her "in real life". The sudden and unexpected circumstances were surprising, tragic, and somehow strangely fitting, in an odd but beautiful way. I was stunned that her passing affected me so strongly. I feel the same way about EscortRider. Although I never knew him IRL, I felt like I knew and understood him through his posts, and was so saddened when he passed.

I wonder what happened to Montana Griz. I liked his posts and admired his can-do attitude. He lived alone (widowed) with his dog (a Brittany) out on his land and never seemed to let age get to him.

People get sick or old and pass away. There is no way of knowing, unless they have friends or family, who know about their time on C-D.
I guess if it is important to you, that your friends on C-D, know of your passing, then you need to add that to your plans, and let someone know. There was a poster that passed, not long ago, her name was Rachael, and her friend, came on here, just to let everone know, that C-D posters were her friends and family.

Touching, except that the poster was banned, not dead, and her "friend" was just her using a new name to pretend to be dead and get back on the forum. She is not the first on City-Data to pull that trick and she won't be the last.

What is amazing is that they imagine they are being clever or original.
