"PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police confirm that a man wanted for the murder of 31-year-old Cory Vargas, was arrested in California. Major David Lapatin tells 12 News that the suspect, 35-year-old Michael Domenech, was taken into custody in San Diego early Saturday. According to Jeff Stephenson, Supervisory Border Patrol Agent of the San Diego Sector, around 2 a.m. PST, 5 a.m. EST, a 2015 Lexus sedan approached the Border Patrol checkpoint on I-8 near Pine Valley, Calif. After a K-9 detection team was alerted to the vehicle, officers attempted approach the driver, who took off from the checkpoint at a high rate of speed. A tire deflation device was deployed and at least one of the tires on the vehicle was punctured. The pursuit continued for about 20 minutes until agents were able to perform a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT), causing the suspect to come to a stop. Domenech was then taken into custody without incident."
This happened at 34 Dorchester Ave., which is RIGHT by where two shootings occurred last month and TWO houses from Mayor Elorza's home and SAME house where there was a shooting last fall.

Police say the victims were shot in the area of Dorchester Ave. around 8:30 p.m. There’s no word on the extent of their injuries. A suspect vehicle was seen taking off from the scene, according to police. No arrests have been made."
"During their investigation on scene, police learned that three men had made their way to the backyard of the house, then began shooting multiple times at a group of people that were gathered in the driveway. The three suspects then took off through the back yard and got into a black sedan, possibly a Toyota Avalon. While attempting to drive away, the driver struck a vehicle on Plainfield St., then left the scene. Police found a silver handgun underneath one of the vehicles in the driveway, as well as a cell phone. Both items were seized by detectives. Several shell casings were also found in the driveway and in the back yard of the home. Two vehicles, the house and fences around the property were all struck by the gunshots. Right now, no one has been arrested and the incident is still under investigation."
"PROVIDENCE — An alleged member of the Lakeside street gang is accused of buying and selling guns on the street — and lending out firearms for a rap video celebrating the gang. Four years ago, Daniel Carides, 22, was riding in a Jaguar when its teenage driver shot off a few rounds near the police in South Providence."

"Saturday 11:15 PM Providence Police were dispatched to the intersection of Nelson Street and Whitford Ave(Elmhurst)for a report of shots fired.
Sunday 12:14 AM Providence police responded to 18 Pumgansett Street (Wanskuck, close to CHAD BROWN) for a report of shots fired.
Sunday 1:11 AM Police responded to the area of 227 Messer St (West End)for a report of a stabbing.
Sunday 1:30 AM Police were dispatched to 85 Atwood Street (Silver Lake) for a report of shots fired. The caller described hearing four to five gunshots coming from a tan duplex on the corner of Atwood and Dora Streets. "

They are now saying three assailants were involved.
I'd guess it's probably the same 3 guys from the previous incident at 34 Dorchester Ave in Silver Lake.

"Anonymous witnesses stated they observed another vehicle circling the area prior to the shooting.
That car according to witnesses was occupied by three white males one in the driver seat and two in the rear seat. A witness observed the male pointing a firearm out of the car window firing rounds at the intersection of Dorchester and Viola Street.
It should be noted 34 Dorchester Avenue is a known Lake Side gang hangout, said police."
