You're paying for the wealth of social services aimed at those with "back injuries".

Because they don't have to pay a fail project like the fast ferry.

They pay more Downstate than people Upstate pay. Our rate up here is higher, because cost of living is lower up here(think about Housing, for example). So, they put more in for services like the extensive public transportation. There are towns in Upstate NY with trash removal included in the taxes, as I live in a town that does.

Wow guy(s)! You do a fabulous job interfacing, what is it, three "different" people? All spouting the same blahblahblah topic of why I HATE NY? At least relent occasionally on a specific topic with one of your personas as its beginning to blend into a roryurbancity quagmire......

Just a suggestion...(;

Clearly, not many people are interested in your topic. Please check the following with no reply. You should try and offer people the truth rahter than your biased source of information. Moving is a big decision for people and the worse you can do is by misleading. I know you have a good intention but isn't it a bit obsessive to post multiple thread that are the same content through all these regions. Isn't it a coincidence how most of the thread you started have no response? That is an indication that most people are not interested in moving to Upstate NY. If you truly believe in your community then it will sell itself. Thank you very much for your time and concern.

Do you have a point? Many read posts and do not respond to them. Many people can be misinformed or may not know certain things about an area as well. I'm still waiting for what you think could help the Rochester area or Upstate NY.

Apparently you must have forgotten why he does so. He no longer pays any state income taxes by living there <6months out of the year.

I'm not sure about the other two guys, but I'm a different person. And googlable.

I'd assume different people though because finding people that dislike the area is common in my personal experience.

My point is you are trying too hard instead you should focus more at work. I have no plans to help Rochester or Upstate NY because it is waste of my time to try and change something I have no control of. I however think one should have more world view and offer honest opinion not some biased lie about how great Upstate New York is. I am glad that you are proud of being part of this Upstate NY community but there is a reason why people are leaving. You either haven't realized the problem with the economy in Upstate NY or are in denial. I know there are great qualities from our Upstate NY community but the bad ones outweighs the good ones. When you make those thread, it is almost like a child who is screaming for attention but noone cares. Please don't argue with that because if people are so positive and enthusiastic about your Upstate NY discussion there will be at least some response. I can keep posting your unresponsive thread but there are too many to list. And that is the solid truth.
