Location: "In and Out Burger" in Sacramento, outside tables on a very cool Sacramento Delta Breeze night.

I asked two locals randomly at In and Out Burger - (one was from Auburn area, the other from Carmichael). And, I asked randomly three Bay Area folks from Oakland, Santa Rosa, San Jose.

How many days is it 100F in Sacramento in the summer, how often? They all said "probably everyday", or "near everyday".

"Does it ever cool a lot", like nightly"? Answers: "No", "I doubt it".

Is it has hot as Vegas or Phoenix? Answers: "For Sure", "I think so".

Question: "Am I in Sacramento, am I technically in the Sacramento City limits", answers, "Not sure", "Yes", "Yes, this is Sacramento, not sure if in the city limits, but definitely Sacramento".

Question: "Why is it so cool, right now, some people are wearing sweaters": Two Bay Area people said because "we're not in Sacramento anymore", this is the Bay Area".........I kid you not......(these Bay Area folks were coming from Tahoe, passing through Sacramento, going back to the Bay Area.)

August 2015:
of 100F +

Sacramento: 5 days

Las Vegas: 26 days

Phoenix: 30 days

Sac's summers are a piece of cake compared to Phoenix summers. We stay in the 80s at night, while you guys are in the low 60s or upper 50s? I'm very jealous.

Too bad Sac's located in CA. Someone should reinvigorate the succession from CA movement again

These questions were asked at 9pm earlier this month in August in Sacramento.

The funny thing about the two Bay Area folks is that they KNEW THEY WERE IN SACRAMENTO, because they just said "oh, this is SACTOWN" ................but when I said, it's pretty cool now in fact you guys are wearing light sweaters, then they said, "well, we aren't in Sacramento anymore.....we must have past it........this is the Bay Area".

I went on to tell them, it gets cool like this in Sacramento in the summer A LOT. They refused to believe it.

I thought that was so telling of their ignorance and more than that, their in-grained preconceived belief that they simply will ignore facts, even if a cool wind is blowing in their faces.

August 2015, days/nights where the low temp drops below 65F:

Sacramento: 31 days

22 of those days were in the 50s

Number of Days low temp was below 67F in the morning.

Sacramento - 31 days - Sacramento was cooler than Stockton

Stockton - 29 days

Like I've said all along, "it's a wash", between Sacramento and Stockton about which is cooler/hotter in the summer.
