Thanks OP - great deal!

I called this morning and they offered me a choice between Showtime or Starz free for a year.

Thanks OP, got the deal also. Just need to remember to cancel after a year or you will be charged $14.99 a month. Cool deal.

Meh. Even a whole year of Showtime wouldn't get me back to TWC, with their sack-sorry customer service, poor picture quality and inability to schedule service in a timely manner. I'll stick with my DTV (and Roku).

I have been thinking of changing to direct TV but saw this and called in. Well long story short after "excellent customer service" they offered me to upgrade with phone service in order to get the Showtime package. After she said that I decided today was the day...TWC is out of my life. After 3 yrs with them paying the bill on time this is how they repay me...nice. (And this is the cleaned up version!)

Glad others of you got in on this deal!

Aj007: sorry to hear about your experience. I would have asked for a supervisor or called back and got a different CSR. Sounds like you got one of those smog grumpy CSRs.

Bummer, I knew there had to be a catch. If it requires phone service, I'm not interested.
