Let me just preference this by saying I dislike national chains but since there are many who do and have inquired about this chain, thought I'd inform you guys.

K...

Although there is one in Von Ormy, it's in a truck stop gas station. Carl Jr's is re-entering the SA market and their first stand alone restaurant will be in Schertz off of 3009 and Four Oaks Lane.

I've been to the truck stop one before and it was pretty good. Not as good as a real Carls Jr., but better than quite a few other places. Hopefully they open more of them closer to the far west side and hopefully some day they'll bring the baja guacamole burger back. that thing ruled

"If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face."

I haven't ever eaten at the one in Von Ormy, but we managed to find one in Tulsa, OK this past summer as we were driving through, and my son remembered them from Grandma's house in California. So, we made the sacrifice for him and stopped to eat there. It's just kind of a bummer when it's about $25 for four of us to eat a meal at a fast food joint! Just meals, no extras. You might as well go to a sit-down get waited on place. Although, their burgers are pretty damn good!

Help? I think it will launch our lard-butts into first place! Everybody's gotta be good at something.

Woo hoo! Next stop, my thighs!

As I sit here eating the oversized bag of cheese popcorn my wife left me...darn her for taking only a cup and leaving me THE BAG!

We are amazed at how few in quantity there are of some fast food chains.

Mind you I have never seen so many DQs and Sonics in my life, there seem to be fewer of the big chains...McDs, TB, JiB for example.

But, at nearly exit, you will see Jims and Bill Miller's, both wonderful places to eat.

Honestly, we have not hit too many of the fast food places because there are so many choices...AND...you can have a "be served" meal for just a bit more then a wrap it up and hand it to you over the counter.

But, I am totally cool with Rudy's handing me my food in butcher paper.

That was well worth it.
