List of tallest buildings in San Antonio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not sure, I think we could add a few more things to this list. Hopefully some more residential property. There's no reason not to have some skyscrapers that are architecturally appealing and make the city look better.

Plus, skyscrapers are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly per capita than single-family homes and regular offices.

I think there is quite a bit of overupply right now of downtown condos. New and used. About a 30 month supply per MLS. This doesn't count the ones for sale outside of MLS such as direct develope/builder offerings.

San Antonio's skyline is fine. There are other metros bigger than us with skylines that are equal to or "inferior" to ours, at least in raw height comparisons (Phoenix and Sacramento come to mind), and Tulsa has a "superior" skyline to many cities twice its size (including ours). So does that mean I should want to live in Tulsa?

Not at all, and I don't think that anyone is saying that. Just that it would be nice to have more upward development in San Antonio rather than continuing this pattern of sprawl and outward growth. For more than one reason, truth be told.

Don't get me wrong, if San Antonio started building up more it'd be nice and I would definitely enjoy the lovely skyline, but it's not that necessary for me. As long as downtown gets some more infill and becomes a better place to live, I think it'll be okay.

My sentiments exactly.

I lived in Tulsa and the skyline has a couple nice talls but it doesn't have the infill and density of San Antonio's.
