Maybe there's some way to get concrete data that I don't know about, but I'd be shocked if the wealth (at least on the north side) hasn't grown exponentially in the last 10 years.
There are far more young, white collar professionals than there has ever been. People just like to complain. They won’t be happy until San Antonio is Dallas or Houston or Austin, and then at that point they will probably leave for greener pastures.

It doesn't seem like a San Antonio thing when 4 of the top 10 US cities in poverty are in Texas alone if you want to use that article from sacurrent. Houston has a even higher percentage.

It’s kind of odd that the definition of poverty is one set number for the entire country. Why don’t they take cost of living into account?

Yes I was surprised to see Houston with an even higher percentage than San Antonio. And even Austin, which is notorious for having a better-educated population with higher-wage employment opportunities, is number 10.

I know....plus Houston is known to have more fortune 500 companies than almost any other US city, two of which are fortune 10 companies.

Exactly. I'm pretty certain "poverty" in San Fran is vastly different.

Houston has more rich people than San Antonio but also more poor people. Having a bunch of corporations is great for a set of the population but they don't employ everyone

That wasn't really the point of the discussion honesty and I don't disagree with your general statement.

A Negative Nancy was saying San Antonio needs change and threw out links to articles that completely ruined any attempt to back up his claim and went radio silent.

I'm in London at the moment, so responding wasn't exactly my priority.

But you keep on discussing me
