Where did I say they were not? I clearly admitted that I forgot about them.

Ah yes, infecting a thread based on facts with a comment based on pure hyperbolic opinion. Great job.

On the subject of homeless populations, I've been told by a person who knows about these things that San Antonio's homeless veteran numbers have increased quite a bit recently. It's put more of a strain on the local VA system. Hopefully, some will find jobs here, but the timing is not too good for job seeking these days.

Okay, but San Antonio is still promoting growth in the wrong sectors. Still a very poor city for how big it is.

Wake me when they attract a decent tech sector, young people with higher education and a Fortune 500 (or ten).

My god, you are a prominent negative poster. Just move so we don't have to hear you.

San Antonio has always been and will continue to be a tale of two cities.

I also find it funny that you came from one of the richest areas in America open to normal people.

Typical that because it's not something you want to hear, you tell people to leave.

But no... That's not how this works. However, thank for playing

I definitely agree with the sentiment of San Antonio being a tale of 2 cities.

There was a Koenigsegg Regera at the Quarry the other day, and seeing a 4 million dollar car casually parked in front of a Gold's Gym is not what comes to my mind when I think of a "poor city".

Maybe there's some way to get concrete data that I don't know about, but I'd be shocked if the wealth (at least on the north side) hasn't grown exponentially in the last 10 years.

I wouldn’t call it “hyperbolic”. If one does a search, it’s not hard to find data that shows San Antonio/Bexar County has one of the highest rates of drunk drivers per capita in the country. It’s also not hard to find to find repeated sources that show Texas drivers are among the worst (as measured by accidents, citations, road rage incidents, etc.) in the country….probably not unreasonable to assume some of that occurs in SA, especially based on one’s own daily observations of events on the road. I think some of the behavior on the roadways here is pretty shocking.
