Nor for me, either. I'll resist the temptation to stereotype the people who I picture going there, because it's just too easy.

Unhappy J Anthony's-Culebra Location

My dad, 3 of my girls and I went there yesterday. I was not too happy with this location. When we got there, it was not busy at all. We got our onion rings and hushpuppies pretty quickly. One of my daughters also got her cheesburger in good time. She had changed her mind on what she wanted, so that was ordered after our main order on a seperate ticket. Then for the rest of the food we waited, and waited and waited. About 35 minutes later our food arrives to the table. Three of them are fish plates, and one was a kids meal grilled cheese. I think we were forgotten about because our food was barely warm.

I also hate where they put the drink station. You are fighting against the people (while you are staning in line for a drink) who are trying to get to a table. Not one person came to our table to see if everything was good. My dad and I both agree that the General McMullen (sp) location is a lot better. When we ate at that location, the people that worked there were friendly and came by our table to see if we wanted a refil and to make sure things were good.

There is a positive note, though. When we were ordering, one of my daughters was pondering on the idea of ordering their fried green beans (she is a vegetarian). The lady at the register asked if she would like to try one before she ordered it. My daughter said yes, so the lady went back there for a few minutes and brought one out. I think they made that one green bean by itself. I thought that was very nice. My daughter ended up not ordering it, though. As soon as you bite into the green bean, all of the breading came off.

If I remember the hours correctly, I think they open either 10 or 10:30 and I saw closing times of 10pm and 11pm. Sorry, I don't remember which day the 11pm was. I can say for sure they close at 10pm on Sundays.

Default Mela Indian Bar and Grill

We went to Mela Indian Bar and Grill yesterday for the lunch buffet and it was really, really good.

In spite of the crappy location (near Gringo's on 410) and plain exterior, they have done a terrific job of decorating it inside - very upscale! The food was FRESH, tasty and the buffet had a great variety. We will definitely be back. I hope the location isn't this restaurant's downfall as I hear the previous few tenants haven't done so well.....

I hope lots of people go so it stays open and I can continue to enjoy good indian food near home!

I drove past it today. The parking lot was packed and there were balloons on the patio, so I guess that means it's open. Always glad to have another fast food option nearby ...
