Unless his uncle was a SU solider he was again lying.

I can't believe so many in this country are falling for this guy.
And I's still waiting for my new US Flag, you know, the one with 57 stars ????? (Where did he learn American History ???)

because he has charisma and your average Joe or Joanna can't be bothered enough to actually look at what they're supporting. to me the guy is socialism and there's few things I hate more than that. I didn't get to where I am just to give everything back so some lazy turd can have things as good as me.. This is the USA where you can get anything, or you can hang around with the rest of the bottom dwellers.

Default Obama in the 08.

Obama misspoke when he mentioned Auschwitz; however, that does not mean that what he said was untrue. His uncle was there at the liberation of Buchenwald. Obama just confused the names of the concentration camps.

Regarding Obama's comment about 57 states. It's obvious if you watch that clip that he mentions 57 states and then says that he really wanted to visit Alaska and Hawaii but didn't because his staff didn't feel it was justified. It's obvious that he meant 47 states. There must be one other state that he hasn't visited yet (maybe Florida at the time of the statement?). It was a simple misstatement. How many of you have said everything correct all of the time? If you don't believe me, watch the clip again.

As far as what's so special about Barack Obama. In short, Barack Obama is about hope and unification. Bush lied when he stated he was a compassionate conservative who would unite the country. He's only torn the country further apart. Obama is the real deal. Obama started out as a grassroots organizer. He believes in change from the bottom up, not from the top down. Obama doesn't believe in pandering to lobbyists for money behind closed doors and promising votes to further their interests. He gets his funding directly from the people (average Joes or Joannas like myself that have donated small amounts that have collectively set records in terms of donations.) He believes in the power of synergy. Together we are more powerful than individually. He believes in bringing together blacks, whites, hispanics, gays, heteros, the rich, the poor, the old, the young, and every type of person together so that we can help one another and become a stronger nation for it.
I am 26 years old and for my entire adulthood I've lived under a Bush presidency. I want someone new, someone who can bring about real change to our stagnant government. Obama is that person.

Anthony SA, I am very sorry to hear about your situation. I thank you for giving me the courage to open up on this forum.

I too, have a sad story to relate. I met Stacey on June 14, 2005. She was a street walker in E. St. Louis. I met her a second time on June 21, 2005 and we went on to become good friends. I have been an agnostic for 25 years and I soon found religion again. I became her protector in time and she moved in with me in October of that year. I gave her a lot of money and got myself in trouble financially. Later, Jan of 2006 we were common law married. I watched her back end for months down in the district. I was stopped by police about a dozen times, never arrested. I guess they just felt sorry for me.

The last time I saw her was on July 11, 2006 after losing another job, trying to take care of her. I visited with her for about 1/2 hour and rode the metro home.
On the 17th of July, I looked for her but she was no where around. When I got home, a neighbor had to come up to me bragging that a law enforcement officer was around and that my girl was dead. I got to my apartment and had a note. I called a detective who told me that my Stacey's body was found along a highway in Battlecreek, MI (400 miles away). She had been dead for two days. I showed the detectives how to contact her parents. They had questioned me but I had a good alibi, everyone had seen me around the apartment all weekend.

I attended the funeral and my sisters had come up to Belleville, Il to help me move. I returned to the San Antonio area to take care of my mother. She had gone into a hospital in San Marcos about the same time I contacted my sisters on the 17th. When we got her out of the hospital, she never walked again. I have been taking care of her now for nearly two years. She has alzheimers, but is in good spirits. Doesn't walk, but is well loved.

I looked up my wife's name on the net and found an article on her. I followed up and found out that she had died from a drug overdose. That was January of 07. I had thought for 6 months that she had been assaulted, murdered and left in the woods near the highway. It was a small consolation that it was a drug overdose and not murder.

Since this has happened, I have decided to start a foundation in her name. It will be called Stacey's Angels Foundation and the purpose of the foundation will be to raise money that will be giving to women who have been abused, battered and in some cases forced into prostitution. We will find women and use the money for education.

I am going to actually get the foundation underway next year and keep it local (San Antonio-Austin and towns around) for a couple of years. I will be writing to get federal, corporate grant money that will be dispursed to those in need. Hopefully, we will be able to work in NIOSA, Octoberfest in New Braunfels and some groups up in Austin.

I too hope this hasn't been too heavy, but like Anthony SA and my friend in Araq, I have needed to get this off my chest. It does feel better. I hope the folks on this forum remain my friends.

Oh yes, now that you bring that up....I forgot, he's totally lost without a teleprompter.....It's when he wings it he steps all over himself....
