Does anyone know if he was wearing a helmet? I know some people that continue to insist that a helmet doesn't really do anything.

Just thought that the people that wrote about the accident might want to recognize that this was a human being, and he had family. I noticed the very graphic details about the aftermath of the accident, and I thought if I were one of his family members would I want to know all that. (and people who knew this man knew where and when this accident happened, so just because I put his name here didnt make it him) However the accident happened, let his family, friends, acquaintances, remember him as they knew him, not as someone describes his last moments.

I don't think anyone was disrespectful. The OP was disturbed by what he saw. Claude's family shouldn't be upset about anything they've read here. They probably have much worse images going through their minds, and didn't even see the wreck or its aftermath. They lost a loved one, but none of us were disrespectful.

Just my opinion, I thought if I had known him, some of the details that one put out, a little unnecessarrily on the graphic side. Tact could have been used, since this is an open forum, and anyone can read it. With an open mind, go back and for a minute, put yourself in anyone of his relatives place, then read this thread.

No offense, but does his family think there was no blood involved? I'm almost positive the images in their minds are worse than anything written here.........

From the E-N article.........
As police processed the scene this afternoon, visibly emotional family members of the man killed in the accident arrived and huddled at a gas station.

I think they saw worse than what was described here.
