Michelle, If you live on Potranco and 1604 you should consider Spectrum. There is a Spectrum Club on Guilbeau and Tezel, and also on Bandera/1604. I love their facilities. They offer more classes than lifetime, for free. They're about $45 a month.

Michelle, one poster said that you could get a membership for $126 a month to use ANY gym. Individual gyms cost only $45 per month, and it's $55 or something close to that to use almost any gym. I can use any gym except the Roger's Ranch location. That one is like the size of the 281/1604 Lifetime Fitness, and it's rumore that the Spurs work out there... but it adds significantly to your membership costs.

I don't know how much the kids things costs (no kids) but they do activities. I don't think there is a rock climbing wall, but they have kids Yoga classes, and a few other cute kids classes to keep them entertained. They also have special events all the time, like Santa coming in for the kids, or kids costume party for Halloween.

It's not as big as lifetime, but it's never croweded. I've never waited for equiptment. They have a pool, spa, sauna, women's work out areas, and tons of equiptment. All the aerobics/yoga/cycling are free. There are personal trainers for additional costs, but even that is reasonable.

Anyone know what the Spectrum memberships cost at the new Evans RD location? I know they are selling "phase 4" memberships...
