Went to the BJ's soft opening a few weeks ago. Great pizza, as always.

Loved the patio space, nothing special, just not offered at most BJ's I can think of from the Dallas area.

Lots of granite and neat lighting, but alas quite contrived.

Service as expected for a soft opening.

Looking forward to the next one later in May.

I had a burger in the new burger joint that took over the original Pig Stand location in Southtown. Frank's Hog Stand is pretty darned good too.

Their burger was cooked perfectly and I'd stack it against some of my other in-town favorites. BEST onion rings I've had in awhile too. It's simple food and a small menu, but what they do, they do well.

Took my wife out for her birthday to Fogo De Chau (spelling?) It is on E. Commerce on the river walk. Excellent service and the food was awesome. It is a Brazilian Bar B Que and alot nicer than the one we used to visit in Northern VA. I would recommend it for anyone.

Went to Ilsong Garden on Blanco last night. Split the kimchi pancake with my husband. For our entrees he had the spicy pork bulgogi, and I had the bi bim bop in the hot pot. My son, always the adventurous one, had a bowl of steamed rice. Great meal, as always, and we have left over kimchi pancake to enjoy today!

The new Pho restaurant at DeZavala and I-10. Had wonton and pork noodle soup. It was pretty good and they had a large menu. Going to go back there. Lots of VietNamese folks seem to go there.

It's a big weekend of eating. We went to Luther's Cafe on N. Main. It was our first time, and we had a great meal, although it was a super diet buster! My husband had the Inferno Burger, and I had the Blue Cheese Burger with granny smith apples on it. So delicious! I also had a raspberry lemonade with vodka, and my husband had a margarita. Mmmm.... My son played under the table the whole meal, had a raspberry lemonade (hold the vodka, of course), some sweet potato fries, and all the bacon off my burger. We all left happy and full.

Went to BJ's Brewhouse off Culebra. Food was very good, drinks great and dessert ...yum. Hubby and I each ordered New Orleans Jambalya, and it was very spicy. The waitress never came back until the end despite our empty glasses and me probably looking like a fool sucking thru the straw trying for a droplet of water to cool down my mouth. It took almost two hours just to have an entree delivered and then dessert. There was another man there furious as he waited 3 hours for a table.
New restaurant but slightly undertrained!!!
