I've been saying this for years, but what do I know, I merely live here.

A website has rated Fontana one of the safest large cities in the country.

Business Insider, a business and technology website, in July listed Fontana as the 15th safety city in the United States and fourth safest in the state of California.

Other California cities to make the list included Irvine (ranked No. 1 in the nation), Fremont, Chula Vista, and San Diego.

Business Insider published its ratings after researching the latest FBI crime reports and based its ratings on crimes per 100,000 population.

This report includes cities with populations of more than 200,000, excluding suburban areas. Fontana reached the 200,000 level this past year.

If I didn't read the link I wouldn't believe it. I still think the city sucks and it has no identity whatsoever but that's for another thread. Anyways, congrats to Fontana!

-Cheers.

City's changed so much. I don't even recognize it. I remember when there was one school in town, Fohi and they ruled the world in sports. Now there are 5

V this. Every place has an identity of some sort.

Do you mean there's nothing special to set it apart from Rialto to the east or Rancho Cucamonga to the west, or Riverside County to the south?

Not knowing it well, I cannot say, but given people's responses here on the forum I would have to say that the place DEFINITELY has an identity to most people here.

Businessinsider apparently can be bought to publish anything. Anyway, if you believe Fontana is a safe place, I have a bridge to sell you. They (businessinsider) posted Temecula was #2 in the nation which seemed more plausible , but then I found out it was a shill article completely bought to fake the information. The FBI statistics do not list Temecula as #2 nor Fontana as #15.

You'll have to provide more than "but then I found out."

Woah wait, are you saying media sources are bias in one form or another!?

Whether its completely true or not, Fontana is DEFINITELY safer than it use to be. People on here constantly slam particular cities using heresy or really dated opinions. Fontana is always one of of those cities.

Long Beach is safer than it used to be as well. It's all relative.
