Oh man..I don't care if I lived on the beach or not...there would be NO shaming me for keeping my central AC cranking with this kind of weather and humidity.

I don't even think I could fall asleep with that kind of heat.

Jehjeh, definitely when I said "spoiled" I wasn't referring to those that don't have AC. That's brutal not to have AC with the higher heat/humidity during the summer here. When I said "spoiled" I was referring to some friends that complain when it's hotter than 70 degrees or colder than 65 degrees.

Well my ac utilizing self more than makes up for itself bc lastwinter we only turned the heat on twice for 15 min, to take the chill out for guests. That was downtown in a condo which holds a lot of heat, so I'm guessing this winter In a free standing home, I might turn it on for 30 minutes.

Edit that was 2010/11 winter, this last winter, we turned it in once- and again it was for guests.

It's not "brutal". It calls for an adjustment, but it's far, far from unbearable.

But isn't everyone going to miss the great sunsets and cool thunderstorm formations over the mountains when this is all over? One thing for sure, the evenings have been great for eating outside.

The sunsets have been amazing lately! I love being able to sit outside at 10pm and it being in the 70s!

That's what I'm talking about! Still 75 degrees at 10pm makes walking around the nabe so enjoyable.

It was pretty fun not having electricity/internet/phone access for part of the day, wasn't it? It forced neighbors to talk to each other like the old days.
