Indeed. It's been almost a year since it happened.

That's assuming your neighbors were normal. Mine tried to convince me that there was looting going on in the South Bay and that it was gradually working its way up toward central SD. And that it was only "a matter of time" before it started in our neighborhood.

I think I prefer the Internet.

Just wanted to revive this thread one last time before this weekend's unofficial end to Summer.

Ocean water is still nice (Low 70's), days and nights have been warm and muggy, thunderstorms over the mountains, awesome sunsets..........I'd say it's been a great summer so far! But we all know our real summer begins when the tourists leave after Monday, right?

Big waves coming up weekend because the of hurricane to our south........Surf's up!!

It is soooooooo humid on the beach right now. I am definitely going to be in the water this weekend. My husband "worked "at home today and took a break to hang at the beach. He said he got tossed end over end several times body surfing. Rough day at the office . But anyway, surfs already up.

I'm right there with you about being at the beach this weekend! I'm just worried that the waves will be too big to enjoy. The weather is going to be perfect!!

I'll take it! Seems like we haven't had a real summer for the past 3 years. And believe it or not, if you look at the records books, the average temps for this month are close to what is considered average.

.

I just got back from spending all day at the beaches in Del Mar. Perfect, perfect weather. Clear blue skies, wasn't too hot and the water in the ocean is still warm.

The water definitely seems warmer then past summers I've spent in SD. Does anyone know what the average water temperature usually is during the summer? It's been great the past few weeks at the beach.

Totally packed today. Great beach weather...

Today was great, although the shore break in S La Jolla was a little rough- got whomped a couple of times. The temp is better than perfect!

Heading out east for a moonlight hike up Cowles in a little while. Have I mentioned that I LOVE summer in San Diego?
