A few days was overkill. Doesn't Newport Beach release its treated wastewater just off shore?

I think he just meant he was so grossed out that he wouldn't go in for a few days.

Sorry, I don't have a dog, but I do have a cat, and his litter box is scooped all the time. I put the used litter in double plastic bags, and they get to sit outside with the rest of my trash until Tuesday night when I put it in someone's garbage can.

For the past two years, I've been living in an apartment complex where people let their kids run wild, and ages includes about 1 year old up to teenagers. None of them pick up any trash, and just throw more of it on the ground.

The little kids go in at night, and I solved the teenage noise problem by calling SDPD one time, and that worked.

Dogs don't cuss me out or knock on my door and run away, like the one teenager did here. I'll still take dogs anytime.

Are you talking about coronado? Most grassy places (parks, etc) you can have your dog ON LEASH anytime you want, but the large grassy area outside of Coronado dog beach is 100% dog-free because there are so many people taking their dogs to the beach there all the time that they were having problems with poop, and patches of grass were turning brown from the pee, and that area is used for school/league sports. That's usually the case if a park/grass area forbids dogs entirely. Sometimes there's a ban if it's just a heavily-used area, like at La Jolla Shores.

I know you *always* pick up after your dog, but it only takes a couple of folks *not* doing that for the parks people to say "nope".

I understand not having dogs on the beach during the most crowded parts of the day/year. The winter hours are a little less understandable, if the dog is on a leash.

YES, just like with the cigarette-butt issue..........NO smokers ever throw their filth on the ground, but magically, for some reason, the filth is all over the place.

And yeah, all dog-owners happily swoop-in to scoop-up the turdroasters of their dimwitted charges. Those poop-pies that are all over the place, just, somehow got there, MAGIC.
