What's your favorite town/area? I have to say that I would live in Rancho Santa Fe, off of some tiny, dead end, rural street that's impossible to find. 5 acres, a 1920s spanish home, tennis court, pool, fruit and eucluptyus and, of course, the peaceful quiet of RSF.

Where would you live?

I'd say--Carlsbad, La Jolla, Del Mar--or Rancho Santa Fe.

We just bought in La Costa Greens yesterday -- so a biased response is Carlsbad. We got so lucky and got a 21,000 sq ft lot (approx .5 acre) in a new development with a 3,000 sq ft home. I'm so excited!

Congrats on your new home! I bet you're excited.

1/2 acre is big for San Diego! We're right down the road in Leucadia and we only have a 1/4 acre.

Are you going to put in a pool, or just have a huge yard?

I'll take a historic 2 story Spanish home in Mission Hills - thank you very much. If not that, the $12.5 million, 36th floor penthouse at the currently under-construction Bayside at the Embarcadero condo tower will satisfy me, as well.

We haven't decided what to do you. We are elated though, especially coming from a 1 acre lot in CT. Now we get the best of it all, warm climate, nice home and big lot. We'll likely build a pool later on, will first have to spend a ton on landscaping and water bills.
